Opening soon in Cambridge, UK. **Status:** Pre-launch — opening soon (aiming for 2026) **Location:** Central Cambridge, Cambridge, United Kingdom **Contact:** hello@bridgebagels.com **Website:** https://bridgebagels.com ## About Proper New York–style bagels, finally in Cambridge. Hand-rolled, kettle-boiled, baked fresh all day. Piled-high sandwiches and coffee worth the queue. ### Hand-rolled. Kettle-boiled. Each bagel is rolled by hand, boiled in a kettle for the proper blistered crust and chewy crumb, then baked fresh through the day. No part-baked, no shortcuts, no sad supermarket rings. ### Made for Cambridge Real, locally sourced ingredients and fair prices, available for collection or delivered locally. Fast enough for the cycle to a lecture, good enough to linger over on a Sunday. ### Piled-high sandwiches Scallion schmear, smoked salmon, salt-beef, eggs done right. We build them generous — the New York way — with a few Cambridge twists you won't find back in the city. ### Coffee worth the queue Locally sourced, world-class — the best coffee around, dialled in to stand up next to a proper bagel. Because great bagels deserve a great cup. ## Our story We grew up on the bagels that built their neighbourhoods — the counters in New York where the queue is half the fun. Then we moved to Cambridge and went looking for the same thing. We couldn't find it. Plenty of good food in this city — but a proper, hand-rolled, kettle-boiled bagel? Not really. So we decided to build it ourselves. Bridge Bagels is in the oven. Before we open the doors, we're getting it right — recipes, roasters, the perfect everything-seasoning ratio — and we want the people who'll actually eat here to shape it. That's you. ## Menu (preview — subject to change before launch) ### The Bagels Hand-rolled, kettle-boiled, baked fresh all day. - Plain - Sesame - Poppy - Everything - Salt [Request a bagel flavour](https://bridgebagels.com/survey) ### Bagel Sandwiches - **Becca**: Veggie schmear, loaded with fresh veg. - **Emma**: Whitefish salad — the classic deli move. - **Leo**: Egg, cheese, bacon, onions, red pepper, spicy mayo. - **Ryan**: Salt beef — the traditional bagel. - **Olivia**: Pink tuna (that's salmon — Emma's word), cream cheese, capers, onion, tomato. We've passed 350 sign-ups, so the ovens are going on. We're starting with online orders, local delivery and pop-up days — aiming for autumn 2026, baked from our home kitchen. The exact date drops to the list first, and early access to order goes out in list order. ### How do I get bagels — is there a shop? Not yet. We're kicking off with online ordering and local delivery around Cambridge, plus select pop-up days. A physical shop is the next phase — and list members hear about the site and opening first. ### Are these actually New York–style? Yes — hand-rolled, kettle-boiled, baked fresh. The real method, not a beigel and not a bread roll with a hole. New York technique, the best British produce, built for Cambridge tastes. ### Vegan and veggie options? Plenty. Several bagels are naturally vegan, we do vegan schmears and plant milks, and most sandwiches have a meat-free build. ### What do I get for signing up? Founding-member status: first bagel on the house at launch, early-access ordering, secret-menu invites, and a vote on which flavours make the opening line-up. Refer a friend and you both get £5 store credit.
